THE BASICS:

Write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

THE LIST:

1. Foreign candy. I'm a candy whore ... I love all sorts of candies outside of the US, but I rarely get them. :c I love British candy, for some reason ...
2. FANART. God, it seems strangely narcissistic [don't ask] and greedy, but I love love love getting fanart of my characters. It always makes me happy - I'll think of it randomly throughout my day and just smile/giggle/whatever.
3. SO UNLIKELY, but a BJD doll. ;A; I want one horribly. I know no one's going to actually get me one, but if you could buy commissions from me or something so I can raise money to get one, that'd be amazing.
4. Same as Rezzbby, but OHGOD, I love socks. Not boring ones, but thigh-high socks and so on. Mmm. I spent all of my money I'd saved up for in Japan on candy and socks. And arm warmers. /addicted.
5. You know what's even better than socks? SCARVES. Those are my biggest addiction. Jeshika and I share each other's, but we don't have all that many ... I'm planning on learning how to knit soon, but STILL. Scarves scarves scarves. ♥
6. ... to finish my cosplays. Or hey, even just to finish a sewing project. It's frustrating, because my room has all this half-finished stuff in it. D: I'm planning on a Romano and at least one China cosplay, so if anyone can help in some way, that'd be nice ... Not likely though, haha.
7. [Stolen from Maru ♥♥] A one-of-a-kind, cute, strange, doll of my own, doesn't have to be professional or anything.
8. [Stolen from Maru ♥♥] Some sort of jewelry or pendant, something pretty. Or steampunky. I dunno, I like clocks and lockets a lot.
9. A good Christmas. I want things to be okay with my mom's side of the family, if I see them at all.
10. For everyone to be happy, to give back to everyone, to return to love and joy that comes with giving.

I feel really greedy after typing all of that out. I don't mean to be greedy; I don't expect anyone to actually do any of this for me [though that would be really nice], but I do want to give back to people, and I'll try my best to do that. ♥♥♥
